This welcoming lodge is set in a wonderful location, whether you want to relax in stunning rural Cornwall or visit the famous coastline nearby.
When you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a large open plan living, kitchen and dining area which becomes flooded with natural light. Whether you want to prepare a delicious home cooked meal for the family, gather around the table or relax in front of the TV with a good film, this is the most inviting space. Ash Lodge also has three cosy bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an additional living and dining area on the first floor which opens out onto a delightful private balcony.
From the living area you can step through the sliding doors onto your own private, decked terrace. On a sunny day you can sit on the comfy chairs, sheltered under the parasol and enjoy a glass of wine or a bite to eat. There’s even a barbecue provided for those summer festivities.
If you don’t fancy venturing too far away from the lodge, there’s plenty on your doorstep to keep you occupied. On-site you’ll find a restaurant and bar, pitch and putt, tennis court and for the adventurous, the Flow Rider wave machine. To see more of the stunning beauty that Cornwall has to offer, you won’t have to travel far to reach picturesque Padstow and its fantastic restaurants.

We have just returned from a lovely stay at Ash Lodge. It's a wonderfully spacious lodge, with plenty of room for people to spread out. We particularly loved the upstairs lounge area, with the fabulous view. It was great to have the two enclosed outside deck areas, with plenty of seating options and having the use of a washing machine/tumble dryer was an added bonus.We have to agree with another reviewer about the mattress in the main upstairs bedroom being on it's way out. We also note that a couple of the mattresses in the bedrooms downstairs could also do with being replaced.We did a few walks around the lake and resort. The area at the time we visited was really peaceful.We are definitely looking forward to another stay at Ash Lodge.

Great lodge, well positioned with good facilities included. The bedrooms are large and well equipped, only small niggle was the master bedroom mattress is just about at the end of it's life and could do with replacing. The lodge is great for seeing Cornwall, we managed to find plenty to do and visit within at most an hour's drive.The complex has a water park and pool along with shop and bar/restaurant. Mid to high on prices but it's a nice to have if you don't want to drive out to eat or go to the supermarket. The site is well maintained and feels really safe for families and dogs are welcome. There's plenty of room for two cars at Ash lodge and lots of outdoor seating along with a BBQ. We would happily go back to Ash lodge in the future.

Great lodge in fab position. Very private and well located for facilities on Retallack. Big downside for us was no dishwasher. Makes a holiday into hard work. Great value for a spacious property though
