Animal lovers will be pleased to discover the superb Newquay Zoo, home to dozens of exotic and endangered animals set within 13 acres of idyllic tropical gardens, and the Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and provides an insight into the fascinating sea creatures just off the Cornish shores. Branching further afield, a short and scenic drive will bring you to Perranporth, home to another wonderful beach and a boating lake, where you can tour the lake and stop for a coffee and cake in the café.
