About this property

In Kingsand, opposite the beach slipway, a handsome, Grade II listed, Georgian house on three levels with splendid out-to-sea views. A huge amount of work and restoration has transformed it into a lovely, spacious home, with its quirky origins cleverly dovetailed with 21st cent. comfort. A wonderful house for extended families. Some low door lintels - tall people beware! From lane through the little porch to a hall with Victorian tiled floor; living room with wood-burning stove, and sea view; at the back, generous kitchen with dining table and chairs glazed doors to courtyard and, at the far end, a comfy sofa, and door to teeny outdoor area and utility shed.

Under-stairs toilet (mind head!). From hall, stairs (stair gates) up to first floor and three bedrooms, a roomy double with futon sofa bed, en suite shower-room and sea view, another double and a twin; family bathroom. Further stairs up to the second floor and a king-size bedroom with the best sea view, and bathroom with good sea view from the bath! A secure courtyard on two levels with steps up to a patio with garden furniture back gate to a private footway. A gorgeous house beside the beach and within strolling distance of the pub

The twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, with narrow streets winding between pastel-coloured cottages, lie on the Rame Peninsula just 5 miles from Plymouth.

Does need an airfryer to use. On the whole it has everything you need. But most disturbing was the handyman walking in, whilst we were there, all our bags in hall, and just walked in. I wasn’t fully dressed ( the hairdryer was cutting out continuously, so it made us 5 minutes late leaving) and he continued to walk around the house, in amongst our belongings and dog! I felt really uncomfortable and actually upset that our holiday ended like that. Check out is 10, but give some grace to people especially if there are extenuating circumstances .

We were able to keep the dogs in the kitchen and there were stair gates provided so they were not able to go upstairs. The property is right on the edge of the sea, which was quite dramatic with Storm Bert, and wonderful views from all rooms on the front of the house. It is a friendly village and lovely walks in both directions. We will certainly be back.

Very well looked after. You wouldn’t think different people use it each week, you walk in and think it’s just for you. Credit to the turn over team. Incredible position in a beautifully out of the way part of Cornwall. Glorious
