About this property

Rosehendra tucks itself away in a peaceful rural setting not far from the wonderful beaches and attractions along Cornwall’s west coast. A beautifully refurbished barn conversion with a log burner and private garden, it’s the perfect place for a Cornish escape with friends and family at any time of the year.

Original features and tasteful furnishing mean you’ll feel instantly at home. There’s ample space for four guests too, with two welcoming bedrooms (both with doors leading outside to the patio area), a family bathroom, a modern kitchen and a gorgeous open-plan lounge. Of course, holidays are all about spending time together so the living area has been designed to incorporate a lovely, large conservatory where you can dine, unwind or play board games in the sunshine - even on those slightly chillier days. Rosehendra’s garden wraps around the cottage and is ideal for guests travelling with their four-legged companions. The large patio area to the back of the cottage is furnished with an outdoor dining set and gas BBQ so it’s a lovely spot for fresh air feasts and relaxation when the sun’s out.

For days out in west Cornwall, whether adventuring to nearby attractions, ambling the streets of its local towns or lazing on the beach, Rosehendra couldn’t be better positioned. Virtually equidistant from the coastal towns of Hayle and Marazion, and less than a 30-minute drive from Land’s End and Mousehole, you’ll have the best of the region at your fingertips. Carbis Bay lies within 15 minutes drive, and St Ives is just a tiny bit further which means you can surf, SUP and sunbathe, peruse galleries like The Tate and Barbara Hepworth’s Studio and Sculpture Garden, amble the South West Coast Path and eat out at a top-notch restaurant – all within minutes of your front door.

Other nearby attractions include Marazion’s iconic landmark at St Michael’s Mount (8 minutes), Porthkidney Sands and Hayle Estuary (15 minutes), Praa Sands (15 minutes), the Jubilee Pool at Penzance (15 minutes), Newlyn Harbour (20 minutes), the postcard-perfect village of Mousehole (22 minutes),Gwithian Towans and Godrevy Lighthouse (under 20 minutes), The Minack Theatre and PK Porthcurno Museum of Global Communications (just over half an hour).

The entrance to the home is a small step up to a paved area with a garden bench. A stable door leads inside where there’s a bench seat and hooks for hanging coats
