Just minutes from the seafront in East Looe, Lobster Pot is a charming and characterful Cornish fisherman's cottage conveniently and quietly tucked away from the main street. The property is close to the town's many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and just a few minutes' walk from the harbour where visitors can book a glass bottom boat ride, a sea cruise or a fishing trip to catch supper! A short boat taxi (40p tide permitting) connects to West Looe and the Hannafore beachfront with its rock pools, tennis courts, pitch and put and cafes. Here the road peters out to the coast path and a scenic trail to Talland Bay and the picturesque fishing village of Polperro beyond. The Cornish coastline spreads out for miles in both directions from Looe and is perfect for picnics and exploring the many beaches, coves and inlets. Inland, a 25 minute drive will see you on Bodmin Moor to visit the Hurlers, Golitha Falls or Siblyback Lake, or drive 40 minutes to spend the day at the famous Eden Project. Built in the 1650's, the Lobster Pot has been sympathetically refurbished and decorated to an excellent standard, creating a homely and comfortable place to stay whilst retaining much charm and character, with curved whitewashed walls, exposed stonework and many beams throughout. Downstairs there is a pretty open plan lounge/diner and compact but adequate kitchen area. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a shower room.
Accommodation: Ground Floor: Lounge/diner with TV/DVD, Radio, Dining table and seating for 4. Kitchen area with electric hob and cooker, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment. First Floor: Bedroom 1 with Double. Bedroom 2 with Bunks (bunk beds will take an adult weight, but we recommend max height of person 5 feet 4" to be comfortable). Bathroom with shower, WC and basin.
Facilities and Services: Linen and towels. Storage heaters in the lounge/diner, wall convectors in the bedrooms and wall fan heater in the shower room. Electric (log burner type) coal affect fire in the lounge. (There is a £1.00 electricity coin meter in operation and this is topped up to full as a gratuity and has covered summer weeks with no extra top ups required). No smoking. Regret no pets. Stair gate. Short breaks are available out of season. There is a pre-paid allocated parking space in the Mill Pool Car Park approx 6 minutes' walk from the cottage. Park yards from the cottage to load/unload. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday.
