Combining luxury and informality in a rural setting near Liskeard, this former coach house has boutique hotel standard accommodation and a private hot tub. Approached by an unmade track (which may not be suitable for very low slung cars), which also serves the owner's neighbouring residence, Woodfield Coach House is a stunning detached home in a tranquil setting. A wood burning stove, plump sofa, books, oak furniture and bold artwork furnish a spacious sitting/dining room and a warming flame-fronted wood-pellet boiler is an attractive focal point in the kitchen. Take a post ramble soak in the hot tub or an invigorating shower in one of two bathrooms before retiring to sumptuous bedrooms. The master bedroom has a strong romantic presence with a super king size bed dressed with crisp cotton bed linens, set beneath a dramatic gable window which allows natural light to flood in. For flexibility, a second spacious bedroom is furnished with a zip and link bed, which can be presented as a twin beds or a super king size bed on request. There is a garden at the front and another at the rear with a patio for barbecues and alfresco meals. The hot tub is screened from view and looks out across a meadow. The property is off the beaten track, in the rustic hamlet of Merrymeet near Liskeard. Ideally placed for exploring the coasts and moorlands of both Cornwall and Devon, it offers a varied and memorable holiday experience. A dream venue for walkers, access to the south west coast path, three miles of sandy beaches and surfing at Whitsand Bay, Downderry and Seaton a 20 minute drive away. Beautifully renovated with couples and families in mind, Woodfield Coach House is seriously special.
The historic market town of Liskeard is located in South East Cornwall at the head of the Looe Valley. The town has a weekly market and is home to a number of shops, pubs and restaurants. The beaches and harbour of the quaint fishing port of Looe is a mere 9 miles away. In-between theres fishing and watersports at nearby Siblyback Lake, the Donkey Sanctuary at St Ann's Chapel, Cotehele House (NT) and gardens, and the championship golf course at St Mellion International Resort. Head to the world-famous Eden Project for a superb day out with the children. Even the maritime city of Plymouth with its historic Barbican docks area, outstanding shops, theatres and restaurants and the National Maritime Museum is only 30 minutes by car.

The location of the cottage is great, quiet, dark and restful. Fabulous open fire - loads of wood provided, bed soooooo comfortable and hosts really lovely. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Lovely cottage - clean, homely, cosy and welcoming. Great little touches like Scones and Prosecco on arrival. Location allowed good accessibility around Cornwall. There was feedback from previous customers saying they were on a repeat visit or would return. I can see why! We would love to visit again in the not so distant future. Thanks Ollie!

The beds were so comfortable and the super king size bed was amazing, the kitchen well equipped, loved the shampoo and conditioner used this brand before and it was lovely to find this available. Loved the welcome gifts. The whole cottage is welcoming, spotlessness clean and well maintained. I found the hot tub a bit chilly for me but that is a personally choice i love things boiling hot. The kitchen was well equipped. This is the best cottage ive stayed at using Sykes cottages. Can you please buy other cottages and put all over Cornwall please. You can see how much love and care has gone into this property to make is a 5* accommodation.
