For days out, head to the ancient market town of Liskeard; wander the lovely Moyclare Cornish Garden and find the perfect picnic spot, discover the town’s history at Liskeard Musuem and stroll down the quaint streets to find independent shops and eateries. A holiday to Cornwall wouldn’t be complete without exploring the dramatic coastline; head down to Polperro, Looe or Fowey, friendly fishing villages with picturesque harbours to explore, whilst scenic points and popular sites are dotted along the magnificent coastline, including Polperro beach, Chapel Pool and Spy House Point Lighthouse. In Fowey you can explore the delights of the Fowey Aquarium, follow the South West Coast Path up to the impressive ruins of St Catherines Castle or soak up the exceptional views of the National Trust owned Fowey Estuary. Looe is home to a glorious beach surrounded by a wealth of restaurants serving the freshest seafood, as well as the Old Guildhall Museum & Gaol and a fantastic selection of watersports including kayaking and paddleboarding. Alternatively, wander the gorgeous surroundings of Lanhydrock House or tackle the rugged terrain of Bodmin Moor, both providing superb days out. The small village of East Taphouse is located on the A390 in the heart of the beautiful Cornish countryside, perfectly situated for exploring all that Cornwall and Devon have to offer. Located between the historic market towns of Liskeard to the east and the ancient stannary town of Lostwithiel to the west, there is also easy access to the picturesque old fishing ports of Looe, Polperro and Fowey and many spectacular sandy beaches and coves on the South Coast, whilst the rugged and dramatic Bodmin Moor is just 10 minutes to the north. Close by is the Eden Project along with the magnificent Lost Gardens of Heligan and many National Trust properties such as Lanhydrock and Cothele.
