About this property

Immersed in peaceful countryside, within the sleepy village of Merrymeet, is this charming apartment, Little Fursdon. Set in a reverse-level style, this quaint retreat welcomes couples seeking a slice of Cornish life. Upon arrival, find a space in the car park before unloading your baggage into this delightful apartment. Enter onto the first floor, greeted by a bright and airy open-plan living space; allow the designated chef to relish in the kitchen, making use of the gas oven and hob, microwave and fridge in preparing something tasty, while you set the oak dining table for a romantic candle lit dinner. After a satisfying meal, relax upon the sofa, positioned in front of the TV so you can catch up on your favourite shows. As the night rolls in, find the bedroom downstairs, offering a sumptuous king-size bed along with plenty of wardrobe space for your personal belongings. Start the morning with a rejuvenating shower in the en-suite, before taking your morning coffee to the outside decking area, which also doubles as an excellent spot for alfresco dining, also featuring a wood-fired hot tub. Get to know your surroundings as you explore the local area; nearby is the scenic Moor, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is part of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site and an International Designated Dark Sky Landscape. The region is perfect for walkers and cyclists, while those keen anglers can enjoy fishing on the Siblyback Reservoir. Just a short drive away is the market town of Liskeard, where you can brush up on the local history at one of two museums, Liskeard Museum and Stuart House. If you fancy a day on the beach, the dramatic surfing beaches of the North Coast are just 40 minutes away, the quieter South Coast beaches are also very close by, or you can head south to fishing towns of Looe and Polperro, each boasting a wonderful Cornish charm and some hidden coves for swimming. A splendid getaway for two, whatever time of year.

Pensilva is a moorland village in Cornwall that has its roots in the tin mining industry. The rocky Cheesewring Quarry, where granite was mined to create Plymouth's Devonport Dockyard, and the distant settlement of Minions, home of the famous Hurlers stone circles, are among the numerous well-known landmarks in this portion of Bodmin Moor. Rough Tor and Brown Willy are both wonderful treks to the west. The nearby Siblyback Reservoir, which is also a great fishing area, offers a variety of watersports. The market town of Liskeard is nearby, as is the famed fishing port of Looe on the south Cornwall coast, which is around 14 miles distant, and other well-known coastal beauty places including Polperro and Fowey.
