No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a well and there is a stream 10 yards from the property.. Dating from the 18th century and set within the owner’s garden, this beautiful holiday cottage retains many original features, including vaulted ceilings, exposed red cedar floorboards and lovely views from a picture window over the stream into the fields. Merrymeet is just 4 miles from the market town of Liskeard, with its array of independent shops and supermarkets. Alyshan Cottage is ideally placed for exploring the moors and cliff top walks across the coasts of both Cornwall and Devon. You’ll find some of the highest moorland within a few miles drive, beautiful scenery and lovely dog walking country. You’ll find the coastal villages of Looe and Polperro a short distance away, as too the coastal resorts of Whitsand Bay, Downderry and Seaton. The Eden Project is approximately half an hour’s drive away. Other attractions nearby are the National Trust properties of Lanhydrock and Cotehele. Fishing, golf and horse riding can be found nearby. Shop 4 miles.

Comfy upside down cottage, which benefitted us during the heatwave as the bedroom was cool at night. Well equipped little cottage, with a modern bathroom! Some quirky elements which may not be to everyone’s taste but didn’t bother us! Great location for exploring - we visited The Eden Project, Lanhydrock and took a train ride to Looe! Host was friendly.
