A detached, single-storey, stone-built barn conversion, nestled against the high tors of Bodmin Moor, perfect for two couples or a small family who enjoy the outdoors and stunning scenery.

This charming cottage is an L-shaped building converted from a small barn with thick granite walls and cosy comfortable interior. Enter through the stable door into the sitting room with two large sofas, an armchair and window overlooking the front garden. Open-plan, the sitting room opens into the well-equipped kitchen area with large dining table and seating for four guests. Along the hallway, a bedroom with a king-size bed and a twin room share the family bathroom.

From the cottage, walk across the moors or follow a quiet country lane up to the top of the moors and the village of Minions, where you will find a pub (the highest in Cornwall), village shop and café. Designated one of the few 'dark sky' locations in the UK, be sure to bring along your binoculars and take in the mesmerising night sky. By day, the ever changing scenery sweeping across The Tamar Valley with Dartmoor on the far horizon will transport you instantly away from the hustle and bustle of a fast paced life, into a world of peace and tranquillity. The area is a walker's paradise, with so much to see right on your doorstep including many relics of the rich mining history here.

Perched on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Cheesewring Farm is a Grade II listed building, created out of the surrounding moorland around 1840 and featured in a book by local author E.V. Thompson called 'Chase the Wind'. Mum's Cottage is one of four, small barn conversions in this wonderful rural location. For larger groups, Bickle Bice (accommodating four guests); Fizz Gog (accommodating two guests); and Cheesewring Cottage (accommodating two guests) are also available to book.
