About this property

The identical twin of its sister cottage Litlle Leighs, Pond Meadow is ideal for couples and families seeking a relaxing holiday in this popular part of Cornwall. This pretty converted barn offers so much to see and do, both onsite and nearby. The cosy living area is open plan and features handsome exposed beams and a wood burning stove where you can relax on the sofa and watch a film at the end of your busy day. The kitchen is well equipped and there's a lovely dining space for enjoying meals with your group. There are three good sized bedrooms, a double and two twin rooms, one of which is on the ground floor meaning that this cottage may be suitable for those who are less mobile. Outside is an enclosed suntrap seating area - perfect for dining al fresco, a hand of cards or a glass of wine in the evening. You are of course welcome to use and explore all of the wonderful facilities that Trenannick has to offer. Quiet yet close to beaches, Pond Meadow is an ideal spot for a memorable holiday. This property can be booked together with 1062416/1062421 /1062419 and 1062418 to accommodate up to 24 guests.

Warbstow is a sleepy rural village surounded by unspoilt farmland. The village boasts an impressive Iron Age Fort offering panoramic views of north Cornwall and Dartmoor. The surrounding woodland has a network of footpaths to enjoy and the coast, leading on to Crackington Haven and north to Bude, is just 6 miles away. Here the south west coastal path passes over a range of high cliffs and through secret rocky coves. Inland, the countryside gives way to the slopes of Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor can be reached in 40 mins.

The cottage, which has enough room for up to six people, is very comfortable and cosy. It combines the charm of an old, timbered farm cottage with modern kitchen and bathroom amenities. We very much enjoyed using the fireplace in the living room on one rainy evening during our stay. The good wifi at the same time always ensured our family peace (we have got two teenage kids). The farm premises are spacious and with numerous flowers, trees, seeting areas, outside fireplaces and playground equipment contributed considerably to our sense of well-being during our stay. So did the numerous animals on Trenannick farm. We loved our regular encounters with the cats, chickens and alpacas that were all quite curious to find out who we were. Our biggest thanks, however, go to Jules and Nick who welcomed us so warmly and in a very discreet and unobtrusive way somehow managed always to be at hand when we either needed help or some inspiration for our daily trips through beautiful Cornwall. We will therefore always remember this family holiday as something very special and look forward to staying at one of the Trenanninck farm cottages again one day.
