About this property

Nestled in the quiet hamlet of Trecrogo, in South Petherwin near Launceston, Cornwall, rests this high quality luxurious wooden cabin and spa, Langman. Set on one level and featuring studio-style living, Langman provides an intimate setting for a romantic retreat with your significant other. With full central heating and a wood burner for that extra cosy feel (wood burner available from October). The owners on-site massage facility (www.cbholistictherapy.co.uk) offers therapies to relax you that little bit more. An off-road parking area greets you upon arrival, situated in the beautiful field which envelops the cabin with mature trees, and boasting fabulous views across the surrounding countryside. Stepping into the luxurious cabin, you'll be delighted with the studio-style living space. Built to a high standard and homing a sumptuous king-size bed with skylight enabling you to drift off to sleep while gazing at the stars, alongside a fully-equipped kitchen and a snug seating area, inviting you to nestle in on an armchair and enjoy outstanding views of the moor, or enjoy a spot of television whilst the designated chef rustles up a culinary delight (food parcels are available by pre-orders). Or you could indulge in a soak in the stunning freestanding copper bath at the foot of the bed, while gazing at either the view, the wood burner or up through the skylight. As the evening grows darker, step out onto the decking and climb into the private hot tub, the cherry on top of a fabulous holiday home, where you can unwind in the bubbles. For that added touch of luxury, why not book in for a holistic treatment at the owners clinic, relaxing and rebalancing your body’s energy with a hot stone massage, Swedish body massage, Indian head massage, spinal touch therapy or bio stress release. There is also an abundance of options in the local town of Launceston where you'll find friendly pubs, popular restaurants and quaint cafés, including Cowslip Café, where you can indulge in traditional Cornish afternoon tea with an exceptional view over Launceston town and castle. If you fancy a night away from the kitchen, take the short stroll into South Petherwin to the local pub, or the neighbouring town or villages if you fancy more choice. History buffs can visit the medieval ruins of Launceston Castle, dating back to the 13th century and discover the town's local heritage at Lawrence House Museum. You can choose to go the local beaches if you fancy a walk, surf or swim, or lace up your walking boots and discover the moorland on your doorstep. For golfers, Trethorne Golf Club is within 3 miles and another is in Launceston itself. If you fancy exploring a city, Langman is situated in equal travel distance from Truro, Exeter or Plymouth, and also Bude, Tintagel and Padstow are not far for those of you who like the bustling seaside towns.

The town of Launceston, once known as the Captial of Cornwall, is situated on the Devon and Cornwall border, within the picturesque Tamar Valley, awarded as an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town boasts a selection of eateries to please all tastes and is home to a host of heritage to be discovered, including the Launceston Steam Railway, offering 5-mile round trips and the Launceston Castle, dating back to the 13th century.
