From the Cornish, meaning ‘Frog Pool’, Polyphant is close to the convergence of the River Inny and Penpont Water and is surrounded by miles of stunning countryside. Cornwall is a very temperate region of the UK and the beaches are very popular for surfing and other water-sports. The beaches of the north coast are just 14 miles away and also bring you into close proximity to attractions such as the world-famous Eden Project and the Victorian discovery, the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A few miles west of Polyphant, you can take in the rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor with its granite tors, walking opportunities and secluded moor-land villages. The Camel Route, a famous cycling and walking trail is just minutes from here.
