Snaptrip says

7 Stonerush Valley offers a tranquil retreat in a picturesque setting, with many guests praising the peacefulness and seclusion. The hot tub is a highlight, contributing to a relaxing experience. While some guests have encountered issues, others have had stays that exceeded expectations, enjoying the lodge's amenities and the site's natural beauty.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Several reviews mention a lack of cleanliness, with reports of mould, dust, and a general need for a more thorough cleaning. However, some guests found their accommodation to be clean, indicating inconsistency in standards.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, secluded, and ideal for a quiet retreat. Its proximity to nature and local attractions in Cornwall is appreciated, although the remote setting may not suit everyone.

Guests have mixed feelings about comfort; some find the beds and furniture comfortable, while others report issues with mattresses and a lack of sleep due to light from the skylight.

The lodge's facilities, including the hot tub, are generally well-received, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as broken appliances and electrical problems that suggest room for improvement.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

We only stayed for 2 nights but wished we’d booked longer. Would look to go again in the future! The main bedroom has a couple of issues, the radiator thermostat is broken and the bed is a bit squeaky but that didn’t spoil our trip.

A few very minor maintenance things that could be addressed- the main bedroom door handle wasn't working properly (difficult to open from the inside); the bedroom radiator thermostat was snapped off and the double bed was very creaky which was enough to wake you up when moving at night. We stayed during storm Ciaran (in November), but felt safe and cosy in the lodge, it's in a very sheltered position. The site itself was also fine to walk around on the day of the storm despite all of the torrential rain we'd had.

Staff acted quickly to try and resolve the matter but the plug kept gurgling. All the blinds are very dusty, felt like the place had a light clean around. Kitchen surface and fridge was sticky. No windows to open although that probably would cause more smell. The oven only had one cooking tray. Beds were clean and comfy. We won’t be going back.
