Coverack is a lovely town located away from the hustle and bustle of more popular tourist destinations, and it features a beach in a sheltered bay that is great for swimming, windsurfing, and kayaking, in addition to other amenities like a pub and shops. St. Keverne, located four miles from Poldowrian, is home to a Post Office, several stores, and two watering holes. The Lizard Peninsula is home to some of the world's most unique and beautiful geology and flora, as well as a number of stunning bays and beaches. Wonderful sea views can be had from Lizard Point's windswept cliffs, which also make for great hiking along this section of the South West Coast Path. Helston, a market town further inland, hosts the annual Flora Day Festival, and Gweek is home to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary. The drive to Flambards amusement park is short, and the Culdrose Airfield, where the public can meet the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy once a year, is less than fifteen miles away. The owners had thought of everything, warm rugs, tea, coffee and a welcoming cornish cream scone with jam and clotted cream. The location is perfect for walks and exploring and the village is unspoilt with everything we needed.

Turn left out of the front door and you are at the harbour in 5 minutes, turn left for Chynhalls Point, a secluded sandy cove or the cliff path in a few minutes walk - an amazing location. Perfect spot to watch the sun rise, if you are up early enough! The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed, would definitely stay there again. For the older or less mobile the 70-odd steps up through the house and then on up to the parking area to the rear might be a problem.

The welcome pack on arrival, was a very much appreciated addition. A gorgeous sea view from the patio doors.
