Tucked away behind the dunes in one of Cornwall’s coolest surfing communities lies The Surf House. An upside-down house with white-washed walls and wooden floors, oozing the laid-back beachy vibes we have come to love from this part of Cornwall.

Holidays here revolve around the sound and sight of the waves, and you’ll get a fine view of the turquoise bay from a large floor to ceiling window in the open plan living space. Just imagine standing there sipping your morning coffee or watching the sky turn red in one of the north coast’s famous sunset displays.

The Surf House is a relaxing and homely base to spend a beachy break in Cornwall, with two bedrooms on the ground floor perfect for a restful night’s sleep and a delightful living space on the first floor for relaxing evenings together.

Days will be spent with sand between your toes on the gloriously long and sun-bleached Gwithian beach. You can grab breakfast, lunch or dinner at a delicious selection of cafes and food boxes, you’ll even find The Jam Pot serving traditional Cornish pasties and tempting ice creams.

For the surfers amongst you, Global Boarders Surf School is a short walk away where you can hire equipment or book lessons, or simply sit and watch the world go by in their relaxing café. You’ll also find yourself on the South West Coast Path meaning walks with your pooch in tow is a must.

* Due to its unique location and layout the surf shacks and lodges at Gwithian Towans are overlooked with garden space being visible to neighbours and passers by.
