Fowey can be reached in just ten minutes by car, it's a great place to explore and you could even take your car across on the ferry to Bodinnick or as a foot passenger to Polruan. There is a superb choice of cafés, pubs, bistros and restaurants to enjoy the finest locally-sourced food which will obviously include freshly caught fish.
