Set in an elevated position in the picturesque village of Bodinnick, this spacious detached house has one of the best views in the area, looking over the harbour and watching boats and ships passing by in full view of the property. 'Ferryside', once the family home of author Daphne du Maurier is right beside the slipway and visitors will enjoy exploring the surrounding natural countryside which inspired so many of her novels. In Bodinnick, walkers have easy access to both the South West Coast Path and to the famous Hall Walk, a circular 4 mile trail which includes two ferry crossings and beautiful river and estuary views. The Old Ferry Inn serving delicious local food is within a few hundred yards of the house and the car and passenger ferry to the bustling town and sailing port of Fowey is just nearby. In Fowey you can pick up supplies from one of the many independent shops, delis and bakeries or eat out in a good choice of restaurants, inns and cafes. Sailing and fishing are popular pastimes here and boats and kayaks may be hired to explore the river. Further afield the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are within an easy drive.

Harbourside faces south-west and enjoys the sun throughout the day. There is a large lounge with truly exceptional views through sliding patio windows which frame the harbour perfectly and, if the weather is fine, guests can sit outside on the large sun terrace and relax overlooking the water. A carefully sited dining area provides seating for six and views of the harbour through the sitting room and a well-equipped kitchen has a door leading out to a sloping rear garden. There is also a twin bedroom on this level. Upstairs there are three bedrooms - all with excellent views – and a family bathroom.

Kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Bedroom 1 with twin beds.  Second Floor: Bedroom 2 with King. Bedroom 2 with Single. Bedroom 3 with Double. Bathroom with shower-bath, WC and basin.

Facilities and Services: Linen and towels. Electric and under-floor heating. No smoking. Regret no pets. WiFi. A travel cot and high chair are available if required. Short breaks available. There is parking spaces for two cars at the front of the property. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Friday.
