About this property

Boscastle 5.8 miles. Situated in a peaceful countryside location, Treval Lodge is a well-appointed oak framed lodge offering welcoming accommodation with everything you need for a relaxing holiday in Davidstow near Camelford, North Cornwall. This welcoming holiday home is part of a well-maintained development of privately owned properties just four miles from the historic market town of Camelford. Boasting a scenic setting next to the gentle River Inny and open countryside views, whilst being within easy reach of main routes, Treval Lodge is the ideal base from which to explore this fabulous area of Cornwall. The light and airy open-plan ground floor incorporates functional living and dining areas adjacent to a well-equipped kitchen; ideal spaces for rustling up a delicious home-cooked meal, preparing a picnic for those days out and about or enjoying playing board games with the family. French doors open up onto a patio and in addition, there is a decked area with outdoor furniture, perfect for those special al fresco meals in the summer months, as well as a place to sip on your morning coffee. The private, enclosed garden is to the rear where you can enjoy watching the gently flowing River Inny and admire the open countryside views beyond. This inviting holiday lodge offers three bedrooms over two floors with a well-equipped twin bedroom found on the ground floor, with easy access to a large wet room: benefitting those with limited mobility. Retire upstairs to the large and airy master bedroom boasting a king-size bed, plenty of storage and a space for a travel cot, which is provided. Adjacent is a lovely twin-bedded room with ample storage with both rooms sharing a spacious bathroom suite in which to refresh after a day’s activities. Make use of the on-site enclosed asphalt tennis court at Inny Vale – free to all visitors on a first come, first served basis! North Cornwall offers something for everyone, and the lodge is the ideal base from which to explore it all! Walkers, cyclists, surfers and golfers will not be disappointed by the choices available to them to enjoy their pastimes and with so many special beaches on the doorstep, those who just wish to have a relaxing time at the beach will be spoilt for choice too. Superb beaches at Bude, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven and Trebarwarth Strand are within easy reach and accept dogs at certain times of the year. Close by is the beautiful and unspoilt fishing village of Boscastle with its excellent choice of shops, pubs and restaurants and its unrivalled harbour from which you can take boat trips to Long Island to spot puffins, seals and an array of sea birds. Alternatively, a fishing trip is a wonderful way to take in the breath-taking coastal scenery all whilst catching your own dinner! The South-West Coast Path is a must-see destination in Cornwall, leading to several secluded sandy beaches, lovely villages and stunning Pentargon inlet with its impressive waterfall. With so much to see and do in North Cornwall, Treval Lodge will be the ideal home from home where you can start each exciting day of your holiday in this beautiful location.

The road through Boscastle runs down to the small harbour at the bottom of the hill, making it a typical Cornish seaside village. The charming village stores, local restaurants and pubs that serve superb food, Cornish real ales, and live music by local musicians make this a popular tourist destination. This magnificent area is known for its spectacular cliff tops, rocky coves, wild surf, open pastures, and abundant animals. The coastal walk runs through some of the most rugged and magnificent coastal terrain in the United Kingdom. Within 5 miles, you'll find the sandy beaches of Bossiney, Trebarwith Strand, and Crackington Haven, as well as the surfing beaches of Bude and Polzeath. Close by are the joys of Tintagel, which is steeped in King Arthur stories and boasts several stately homes and renowned gardens, as well as Bodmin Moor, which is known for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier's Jamaica Inn.

  • Katie

Think it would be safer with a fence there like the other areas in the garden.

  • Barbara

The property is really well equipped and very comfortable. Weather wasn’t great but this didn’t stop us getting out and about, enjoying the coastal walks and nearby beaches. Kate, the owner was really helpful and quick to respond when we needed her. Would highly recommend.
