Guests that stayed at this property said

The property has been consistently described as very clean, which suggests a high standard of cleanliness that guests appreciate.

The location is praised for being great, although there are no specific details, the positive mention suggests satisfaction.

Comfort is implied to be satisfactory with the property feeling like a home from home, but issues with heating and a double booking incident suggest some room for improvement.

Facilities like the onsite shop and pub are appreciated, but problems with heating, wifi, and a lack of instructions for the TV and heating system indicate some maintenance issues.

There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

On the heavily forested banks of the River Tamar, the tiny rural community of Gunnislake is located. Village bars and a limited number of shops are present. The village is notable for being at one end of the picturesque Tamar Valley Railway, which offers frequent services along the river's edge to Plymouth. Dartmoor, the beaches on the south and north coasts, and the attractions in western Cornwall are all easily accessible from the area. The Dartmoor town of Tavistock, with its pannier market, pubs, and restaurants, is close by, as is the well-liked fishing village of Calstock, known for its crafts and festivals. It takes only 10 minutes to get to the Donkey Sanctuary and Cotehele House and Gardens (NT). There is something for everyone, whether it be a round of golf at St Mellion (8 miles), a visit to the restored Victorian mining village at Morwellham Quay (4 miles), a walk along the Tamar Valley footpath to look for otters and deer, a trip to the National Trust-owned Lydford Gorge, or a trip to the beach and charming harbour at Looe (25 miles). Why you take the picturesque Tamar Valley Railway into Plymouth for something truly unique, then spend the day exploring Plymouth Hoe or the amazing Marine Aquarium?

We would never stay at this property again. You did not inform us that both bathrooms were overlooking storage room that cleaners use daily there was no privacy made us very uncomfortable ! You also double booked property after first week we had guy trying to open key safe at 9pm Saturday night he knocked the door and was baffled that we were staying there he was moved to another property ! This is totally unacceptable ! Any people thinking of booking this property think twice if you value your privacy ! And another issue you can only have central heating on for 2 hrs at a time so when it switches off when your in bed you have to run upstairs to switch back on why was there no mention of this ? Could not use TV in double bedroom either not good enough ! Why was there no mention of these issues in the advert very misleading
