About this property

Marhamchurch 1.5 miles. Tucked away on the outskirts of Marhamchurch is this homely, detached lodge of Whispering Heights. This dog-friendly lodge in Cornwall sits on an elevated position with breath-taking views, a contemporary interior, and an enclosed garden, perfect for a family of four to tour this beautiful region. When you arrive, park up in the off-road parking space and take in your peaceful surroundings with the sea in the distance, before stepping inside. The kitchen/diner is a well-appointed space with everything you need for a self-catering stay, including an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer, whilst there's plenty of space around the table for four to dine. Next door, you'll find a welcoming sitting room filled with light thanks to the large windows framing the breath-taking views; sink into the leather sofas, watch the TV or choose from the selection of board games, all by the warmth of the electric fire. Alternatively, spend summer days relaxing in your private, enclosed garden and make the most of your rural surroundings. There's a barbecue and picnic bench to dine al fresco, whilst children and dogs have plenty of space to run and play. When it's time to wind down, retreat to the Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a spacious, double walk-in shower and a heated towel rail. Both bedrooms have built-in storage space, the first being a master king-size, and the second a twin, ideal for two little ones. If you can tear yourself away from your rural sanctuary, the centre of Marhamchurch is a short drive away for the Bullers Arms pub and a village shop to pick up the essentials, whilst the seaside town of Bude offers plenty to see and do. The Bank at Bude Tapas and Grill, Life's A Beach, and The Barge are just some of the wonderful eateries on offer, along with swimming in the semi-natural Bude Sea Pool, Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club, and coastal paths leading you to scenic views. Just north of Bude lies Hartland Cornwall Heritage Coast, home to Sandymouth Bay Beach and rugged cliffs, where you're sure to spot local wildlife. For local legends of King Arthur, be sure to visit the historic Tintagel where you can explore Tintagel Castle, visit Merlin's Cave, and ramble along Glebe Cliff. Boscastle is close by for another scenic fishing port, or perhaps you'd prefer venturing into Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor National Park? Whispering Heights is a wonderful base in Cornwall to explore the great outdoors. Note: This property can be booked with Ref: 1100417 together sleeping up to four guests.

Marhamchurch is a great location for exploring the Cornish coast. It's 2.5 miles from Bude. The peaceful community has a church, a shop, and a pub. Bude boasts beautiful beaches for lounging and making sandcastles, rockpools to explore at low tide, and cafes to watch it all. Rolling waves are perfect for surfing year-round, and the walks by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal route allow you to explore the spectacular scenery. Bude has a golf course, indoor pool, bowling alley, and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It has shops, supermarkets, cafes, taverns, restaurants, and an outstanding information centre. The ruins of an iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury offer panoramic views. For days out, travel the coast road north to view the lonely lighthouse at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep, cobblestone town street of lovely Clovelly to the port and tavern far below. In the other direction, there's Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn in Port Isaac, and more surfing beaches at Polzeath.
