About this property

Weasels Nest, a well-appointed, two-bedroom barn conversion rests on a quiet country road in the rural Cornish village of St. Breward. Complete with a lovely, spacious garden, well-appointed living spaces, and a private driveway, Weasels Nest makes a wonderful base for a family of four or a couple, looking to get away from it all and experience both the coast and countryside. Park up, with enough space for three cars, before heading indoors to reach the kitchen; well-equipped to help whip up a delicious dinner ready to be enjoyed around the dining table. If the weather allows, set the patio furniture, and enjoy an alfresco affair in the rear garden, dotted with pretty blooms, or spend the afternoon in the summerhouse, where you can lounge and even play a competitive game of foosball. On cooler evenings, light the woodburning stove and spend time as a family in the living/dining room; alternatively, for some much-needed rest and relaxation after a tiring day of exploring, retreat to the bathroom where you can indulge in a long soak or revitalising shower before retiring to either the double or twin bedroom. Once you're ready to explore, your nearest pub can be found in St. Breward, whilst for attractions, head to Bodmin where you can tour the Bodmin Town Museum, Bodmin Jail Attraction, or continue to Pencarrow House & Garden. From your doorstep, take advantage of your proximity to the Camel Trail, a superb cycleway that stretches for about 17 miles, ideal for relaxing strolls or a bike ride all whilst soaking in picturesque coastal views. Be sure to also stop off at one of several charming cafes along the way to refuel with a sweet treat or warm beverage! Venturing to the coast, enjoy exploring the remains of Tintagel Castle, take in the breath-taking vistas from Merlin's Cave, or hike towards the hidden gem of St Nectan's Waterfall. If you’re seeking tasty food with a view of the dramatic north coast of Cornwall, take a day trip to Padstow, home to various attractions that are sure to impress guests of all ages. Take a leisurely stroll around the quintessential Cornish harbour and admire the pretty fishing boats bobbing up and down, head out on a boat trip to explore more of the estuary or pay a visit to Prideaux Place, a Grade-I listed country house, dating back to 1592. With Camelford, Wadebridge, and many more villages and towns within reach, experience all of this and more from Weasels Nest.

St Breward is a Cornish village resting between Bodmin and Camelford. The village is known for its historic church and offers riverside walks and great access to local historical sites, including Trippet Stone Circle, King Aurther’s Hall and Stannon Stone Circle. Dining options include the Old Inn and Restaurant, while you can stock up on essentials at the nearby post office. Within easy reach of the village you will find the bustling town of Bodmin, where there are more eateries, independent shops, and beyond that, the Cornish coast.

The cottage has everything you need, clean cosy and comfortable.

Giving access to Bodmin Moor walks and to some great beaches. The cottage is well equipped and very cosy especially with the log burner lit on colder evenings. A great local pub on the other side of the village which is well recommended for its food.

Maybe we’re just old fashioned but I would have brought some if I had known. Meant the dreaded tv was turned on! The cottage is sweet and tidy and I loved the proximity to the moors. Thank you for the booking!
