It is located in a secluded location on the historic 2000 acre Lanhydrock Estate situated between Bodmin and Lostwithiel. The Honeysuckle cottage is in a unique position for sampling the delights of the Cornish countryside with marvellous, scenic walks across the rolling hills and working farms. You can walk straight into Lanhydrocks Gardens and woodland from a footpath and be at the Main Lanhydrock house in about 15mins walk! The Lanhydrock estate has just opened a cycle hub which you can access direct from the cottage! Its free and there is a superb restaurant! It provides possibly the largest off road cycling in the country. Centrally located and nestling at the head of the beautiful Fowey River

valley, the Honeysuckle cottage is in an enviable position of being 10 miles from the award winning Eden Project, 15 miles from the dramatic rugged cliffs, surf and sandy beaches of the north Cornwall coastline and a mere 8 miles away (about 15 mins drive)from the softer south coast with its picturesque fishing villages and hidden creeks lovingly captured in the books by Daphne Du Maurier. There is a fantastic beach just a 15 minute drive away. Polkerris has a

beach bistro and a pub with a veranda overlooking the stunning harbour a few miles along the coast from Fowey. Upon entering the property, you are welcomed into a spacious kitchen/dining room, where you will find all the essentials to prepare some delicious

meals. After dinner, enjoy your down time within the sitting room, where you and your loved ones can curl up on the plush sofas whilst the warmth of the

electric fire fills the room with tranquillity during those chilly winter evenings. As the evening draws to a close, head up the staircase to find three bright and airy bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom, ensuring a flexible sleeping arrangement to suit the needs of your group.

During the warmer months, make the most of the superb rear garden where your canine companions can roam around the lawn or you can dip into the

restaurants and takeaways, in addition to a choice of shops to pick up and treats and essentials.Brush up on the local history by visiting the National Trust property of Lanhydrock or the 18th century Bodmin Jail which also houses an on-site restaurant. For those feeling adventurous, head to the Bodmin Moor AONB to explore miles of grassland, endearing rivers and prehistoric hut circles or spend an afternoon at the Polperro Heritage Coast, where you will find a

magnitude of small towns and villages, sandy beaches and many coastal walks. Honeysuckle is perfect for a family looking to explore both coast and

countryside.

Bodmin is the one-time county town of Cornwall. Within the town you will find narrow streets, shops and pubs and is within close reach to all that Cornwall has to offer. Within the North coast you will find superb surfing, rugged cliffs and hidden coves, whilst the quieter sands and river estuaries are on the south coast. Also within close reach is the Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project and Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum.
