Standing detached beside the owner’s driveway, Ladyvale Barn is named after the ancient stone clapper bridge just a short walk away. All guests are welcome to make full use of the owners lower garden which has a large pond and an area between the pond and the river with a picnic bench. It is tucked away in a very rural location adjoining to Cardinham Woods, the largest wooded area in Cornwall with 650 acres of forest and well-loved by many for a leisurely stroll or an exhilarating cycle. Just walk along the lane and into the woods where you can find the many brilliant walks and mountain bike trails. Venture a little further and visit the café in the woods, a real treat after a good ramble.
Ladyvale Barn would suit couples looking for a quiet location in which to enjoy a hideaway from the hustle and bustle of modern life. This property has been renovated from a barn and is very comfortably furnished with oak flooring and snug underfloor heating throughout, a walk-in wet room style shower and a lovely bedroom with stable door leading to a small patio area complete with garden furniture and hot tub. Beyond this are gardens leading down to a lawn with a summerhouse beside the river for the guest’s sole use. Ladyvale Barn was fabulous! Everything was spotlessly clean & was well equipped with everything we needed including the perfect sized hot tub which was so tranquil & all we could hear were the birds! It was very easy to get to both coasts …..& even St Ives was just over an hour’s drive away for a lovely day trip! The woods Ladyvale Barn are surrounded by are beautiful so good for walking & there was a great “Cafe in the Woods” for refreshments during our walks!We definitely recommend Ladyvale Barn & if we wanted to stay in the area again we would definitely stay here……if it was available! Oh & Lance is a lovely, friendly host!

This converted barn accommodation is of a very high standard and extremely well-equipped and very comfortable. The outside garden area is so relaxing with a patio area, summerhouse and separate laundry building. The quiet location in the woods is reached by narrow lanes and is just lovely to return to after a day out. There is also a very secluded hot tub! The hosts (Lance and Kate) are very friendly and just couldn’t be more helpful….. they genuinely just want their guests to have a great holiday and will happily give any advice re the surrounding area. We felt it was excellent value for the cost. On leaving, we had left some personal items in the cottage and Lance very kindly arranged for them to be posted to us very quickly! Thanks to Lance and Kate for ensuring we had a lovely relaxing holiday while also exploring the many venues that Cornwall has to offer.
