Lovingly restored with exposed beams, a wealth of character and original features this detached cottage makes a cosy and welcoming place to stay. Coleford village makes a wonderful base with its village shop and country Inn, a few steps away from the property and pubs for dining in nearby Mells,Holcombe and Vobster. From here you can explore Somerset which and the historic city of Bath with its famous bath spas, theatres, museums, race course and rugby ground. Wells, England's smallest city, is just 13 miles with its magnificent cathedral, unique shops and markets. The coastline of North Somerset is certainly accessible and offers a range of beaches. The spectacular Cheddar Gorge is within easy reach as well as a host of popular attractions Longleat, Glastonbury Tor, Wookey Hole, Chew Valley Lakes and for shopping Frome, Clarks Village and Kilver Court are all a short drive away. On entering the cottage through the front door, you are led into the cosy lounge/diner where you can relax on the comfy sofas after a long day and watch your favourite film on the Smart TV/DVD in front of the impressive wood burner, a spacious dining table to seat six is perfect for family meals. The room has been beautifully restored with exposed beams and the original stairs have been kept as a feature behind the fireplace. Enter through the archway which takes you into the impressive kitchen with gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The utility room with washer/dryer is just off the kitchen and will lead you to a shower room with shower and WC. Head up to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, one master double bedroom, a twin bedroom and finishing off the accommodation is a bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC. A beautifully maintained enclosed rear garden can be accessed either from the lounge or utility area, you will find a good sized patio just off the lounge with garden furniture, ideal for al fresco dining, with a further patio at the top of the garden. You are truly spoilt for choice when it comes to outdoor eating. Hot and cold taps are installed, with a tin doggy bath provided, to give your furry friends a relaxing bath after a day of exploring the local area.
