Set within the South Downs National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this ground floor apartment, adjoining the owner’s home, lies in the pretty west Sussex village of Findon. A plethora of trails and walks are available, and the area is well known for its prize winning horses and trainers. You can spot the horses in action on the gallops, where you can also see barn owls and kestrels. Findon is home to a traditional Sheep Fair and Village Festival, which is held at Nepcote in September. Walk part of the 100-mile South Downs Way with historic woodlands where you can smell the intoxicating scent of the bluebells in the spring. Look out for roe deer and red kites, and you may even be lucky enough to see hares boxing. Paragliding, hang gliding, golf, zorbing, mountain boarding and water sports are all available nearby. If you’d like to bring your bicycles, the owner provides a bike store with a key supplied. The coastal town of Worthing, where you can stroll along the promenade or the award-winning pier, is 5 miles away. Other places to visit include rspb Pulborough Brooks nature reserve, 8 miles, Parham House and Gardens, 7 miles, and Arundel with its historic castle, 10 miles. A little further afield is Petworth House (National Trust), 17 miles, and Goodwood, 19 miles. There is an open-air swimming pool in the village, open May - September (times vary). Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 550 yards.

A lovely bright, comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipment home from home. Owner very helpful and provided lots of useful information on what to see and do in the area. Stunning scenery on your door step and a short drive to the coast. Bring sufficient supplies of food etc to get you going as there is only a very small shop in the village. There are however good places to eat out there including The Black Horse pub and the very good Tajdar Indian restaurant. Little Longmead is highly recommended !

We stayed for a week and everything was outstanding.Ann is a very welcoming host who has paid attention to detail to ensure everything is there for a very comfortable stay.The locality is excellent ,quiet and peaceful. .It is great to acces both the Downs and the coast .We will be back!!
