This incredible extensive Georgian House is found at the end of a long driveway in the middle of its expansive 60-acres of grounds with amazing vistas of Sussex. Its four floors feature 8 bedrooms and huge opulent living rooms and an astounding dining room with a large well-equipped kitchen.

From the very moment you walk through the door of the house you know you are in for a treat as the grand hallway and staircase gives you some great first impressions. All the rooms have been very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and you really get the feeling of The Georgian era when you are inside. You will understand why they were known for their lavish fashions and sumptuous food, as well as being a time of great social and political change. It is really like stepping back in time and the owners have retained all the original charisma and personality of the house. There is also a full-size billiards room and a boot room with storage.

Take time for a game of croquet on your own croquet lawn just outside the door on the grounds. Also within the grounds are a tennis court and a heated swimming pool with its own pool house which houses its own kitchen, outdoor seating, barbecue and bathroom. There is also a children’s pool for them to splash around in next to the adult’s pool. All these can be found in the gardens, which are around 5 acres and offer a very private setting, just a very short walk from the property.

Four of the seven bedrooms feature spacious en-suite bathrooms, and there is even a bathroom for the children with its own child’s bath, sink and toilet, a unique room. Crystal chandeliers hang from the ceilings and this is certainly a home where you will make some truly special memories.

There is so much to do in this part of the world as the property is conveniently located next to Balcombe Train Station with direct lines to London. Locally you are located near to Bolney Wine Estate, Kingscote Estate and Vineyard if you a wine lover. There is a plethora of golf clubs, spas and plenty to do for the children with wildlife centres and nature reserves all found right on your doorstep. This really is a staycation that you and your group can enjoy whether you want to stay at home or use the home as a base for a few days as you certainly have lots of things to do.

We had a really special week at Balcombe House. The house and gardens were magnificent. There's lots of nice places to eat in the vicinity including the village pub at the end of the drive. The village shop is next to the pub and it sells a range of produce including local meat and cheese is next to the pub.
