Lovely accomodation for walkers or families, one of a pair of cottages within mid Sussex with a host of attractions nearby

Twineham South Cottage offers perfect family accommodation for up to six people and has everything required as a great base for your holiday. With a spacious,open plan living area that encompasses comfortable lounge seating, a large dining table and a fully fitted kitchen area this is a great hub for your gathering. The beautiful exposed beamed ceiling offers lovely character features and the large windows onto the surrounding area bring the outside in and give you the opportunity to enjoy the frequent glimpses of the wildlife around.

You will find two bedrooms on the ground level, a king size double and a twin, with a convenient family bathroom in between the two. The main bedroom, with a king size double bed, is accessed by a staircase from the living area and comes with its own ensuite shower room.

The patio area to the rear of the cottage leads directly onto the surrounding countryside and offers a peaceful place to sit and contemplate your plans for the day ahead. A lovely spot to relax in when the sun is shining!

For anyone looking for really flexible accommodation for a larger group of up to 12 people then Twineham South Cottage can combine perfectly with Twineham North Cottage next door. Twineham and beyond

Being so central in the county, Twineham North and South Cottages are ideally situated to explore much that Sussex has to offer and you don't even have to go very far as there are numerous countryside pathways and bridleways accessed directly from the front door. You can enjoy meandering alongside the River Adur or visiting the local church, St Peters, which was built in 1516 and is reputed to be the first brick-built Church in Sussex.

Why not indulge in a tour of award-winning Bolney Estate Vineyard which is a short two miles from the cottages? This family run 40 acre estate is hidden in the heart of rural Sussex and carries on the tradition brought to Britain by the Romans nearly 2,000 years ago and has achieved world wide acclaim for their sparkling English wines. They have a lovely restaurant which has impressive views of the vines and the South Downs beyond.

Hickstead Showground is a five minute drive from the cottages and holds events throughout the year including the prestigious International Horse of the Year Show. You can also indulge your love of all things equine by visiting Plumpton Racecourse nearby which hosts National Hunt meetings throughout the year.

Borde Hill Gardens are just eight miles from the cottage and have been described by Country Life magazine as one of the country’s truly great gardens. The gardens offer outstanding views across 200 acres of Grade II listed parkland and woodland which make Borde Hill the perfect day out for horticultural enthusiasts and country lover. Families will also love the adventure playground and a picnic area overlooking the peaceful lakes, there is also plenty of room for kite flying!

Heading north for 20 minutes into the rolling Sussex Weald and you soon reach Ardingly Reservoir . It is a large expanse of natural water and an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are plentiful walks around the reservoir and for those who enjoy watersports it is a haven of activity for sailors, windsurfers and canoeists.

With good communication links to Brighton, the south coast is easily accessible within half an hour and offers everything you would expect from a cosmopolitan city offering a variety of interests to suit many tastes and fashions. It is famous for the Royal Pavilion, the summer palace of the Prince Regent. Close to the Pavilion is the Brighton Dome and the Theatre Royal. The Brighton Laines are a popular area to saunter and enjoy with a variety of individual shops, jewellers, restaurants and bars. Of course there is nothing quite like a walk along the prom or a stroll out to sea on the Brighton Pier to clear heads and revive appetites!
