About this property

A perfect countryside get away set in the magnificent South Downs National Park

Set amongst landscape as beautifully diverse as it is breath taking, rolling green pastures, ancient woodlands and a modern, luxurious design are just a few of things that will welcome you when you stay at Oak Lodge.

The spacious and open plan lodge, with its floor to ceiling windows and doors, easily absorbs the beauty of the surrounding scenery to flow into its modern and contemporary design. With deep sofas next to a crackling fire for those days where you simply want to cuddle up to a loved one; there will be no need to worry about the unpredictability of the British weather when booking your holiday.

Set in the South Downs National Park, an escape to Oak Lodge is a real opportunity to escape the hustle of everyday life. The South Downs Way National Trail covers 160 kilometres, so you can walk through ancient woodlands, carpeted with bluebells; watch roe deer darting through wildflower meadows; witness hares boxing or even spot a red kite hunting above.

There’s so much to do and see in the area, from walking, cycling or horse riding across the Downs, exploring wildlife in the wetlands, visiting one of the many heritage sites to experiencing opera at the world famous Glyndebourne.
The site is adjacent to Hassocks community football club, it is likely guests will hear some low level match noise during games.

Please note that the check in time is 4pm.

A beautiful, clean, well equipped, quiet and warm lodge in a secluded location just off the main road into Hassocks. We stayed in Oak Lodge towards the end of February. The lodge is of a very high spec and equipped with everything you could need. The rooms are warm and cosy especially the lounge area when the sun comes through the large windows. Comfortable bed and lovely crisp linen with a lovely en suite and fab large shower. Its a great location in the South Downs, just minutes drive to Hassocks for local shops and places to eat, just 10 mins drive to Burgess Hill and just 15 mins to the centre of Brighton. It's easy to find and a very quiet, secluded location. There are 3 lodges on this relatively new site which seem to have been very well built and the site itself is very pretty. There is a lovely garden centre next to the entrance of the site with a very nice restaurant to the rear set in a very pretty barn conversion, we ate there a few times including breakfast. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Blue Chip Holidays were great to deal with very friendly and helpful and great communication with reminder emails and texts, would book a holiday with them again, without hesitation. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

We stayed for a fortnight in July. Everything about it was excellent from the welcome pack to the mid stay clean. The furniture, linens and kitchen supplies were lovely. It did take us a day to find the vines which are well hidden behind a screen of trees!

After my husband died suddenly in June I decided to move back to the UK from Spain. I turned up at Oak lodge with a friend, 2 dogs and a cat. We were welcomed by the manager/ I think owner. There was a welcome pack and the lodge itself was excellent. It was beautiful, the spec was very high standard, it was warm and cosy and set within beautiful surroundings. After the last five months of grief Oak Lodge was exactly what I needed before I moved into my new home. I would definitely recommend Blue Chip Holidays and especially Oak Lodge. Thank you.
