About this property

Take a break in beautiful countryside at Cedar Lodge, nestled in South Downs National Park

Spend some time with the people that matter most in the inspiring landscape of the South Downs National Park. Cedar Lodge is a two bedroom lodge surrounded by peaceful countryside and it's home to stylish features throughout.

The lodge's open plan design creates a bright and welcoming home from home, while the floor to ceiling windows mean you can enjoy its rural location without even the sofa. With plenty to do and explore outside and the comfort of a cosy woddburner to cuddle up around inside, Cedar Lodge is perfect in any season, come rain or shine.

As the living area opens out onto the private terrace you can make the most of your time in the countryside, and the decking's furnished with a table and chairs so you can sit back and listen to the sound of silence.

Set in the South Downs National Park, a stay in Cedar Lodge is a real opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Along this 160 kilometre National Trail, you can walk through ancient woodlands, carpeted with bluebells; watch roe deer darting through wildflower meadows; witness hares boxing or even spot a red kite hunting above.

There's so much to do and see in the South Downs area, from walking, cycling or horse riding across the Downs, exploring wildlife in the wetlands, visiting one of the many heritage sites to experiencing opera at the world famous Glyndebourne. You can rely on this property to supply everything you need to keep you occupied during your stay.
The site is adjacent to Hassocks community football club, it is likely guests will hear some low level match noise during games.

The Lodge was even better than the photographs - spotlessly clean, modern decor and appliances, superb bathrooms with huge shower in the en suite bathroom, beautifully soft white towels, and dressing gown, and the bedlinen was pure white and great quality. The welcome basket was thoughtful, with bread, tea, coffee and a salted caramel cake, and butter and milk in the fridge. Huge tv screens in the living room and both bedrooms meant we could keep up with the latest news, and logs were left for the woodburner, which we lit as it was November! The Lodges overlooked the South Downs, and the setting was lovely and peaceful, with groves of silver birch trees, and a lot of planting, although being a winter break we didn't use the sun loungers or outside table and chairs. The owner met us as we arrived and checked if there was anything we needed, and we felt the area was safe and well cared for.

We had a great time at this beautiful spot which offered one of the best provision of crockery and utensils. The lodges were spacious and very comfortable. Privacy from other lodges was also well thought out and we will be more than happy to return in the future.

Excellent! Staff were super friendly, lodge was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed... Will definitely recommend to friends and family and hope to return.
