Enjoying a rural location in the lovely Sussex countryside, these two beautifully refurbished, detached single-storey barn conversions are located close to the South Downs and only 15 minutes’ drive to the beach. Within easy reach are beaches at Worthing and Brighton, historic Arundel with stunning castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Chichester with its cathedral and Goodwood/Fontwell races. Plenty of National Trust homes and gardens to visit. Shop 1 mile, pubs and restaurants 2 miles.

We booked almost a year in advance following a previous stay at the Carthouse next door, so when this was available over Christmas we snapped it up! We would return every year if we could, as it’s a perfect balance of comfort and tranquility. Since our previous visit, they have upgraded the TV to a smart TV and the WiFi has also improved. We brought along some DVDs just incase (no smart TV on our last visit) but these weren’t needed, so we left them for future guests to enjoy. Plenty of books to pick up if you prefer and even board games. Lots of birds visiting the decked area and lovely to watch the robins bobbing about on Christmas morning. Next time we will bring more bird seed for sure!
