There are numerous small towns locally offering independent shops and eateries to explore, including Petworth, Arundel and Godalming, with the latter offering a mainline rail link to London. Keen gardeners will enjoy discovering the beautiful gardens nearby such a Leonardslee (17 miles) as well as a wealth of National Trust properties such as Petworth House (11 miles). The Weald and Downland Museum and Goodwood House (23 miles), famous for its motor circuit and horse racing, both make for fascinating days out, as does watching the polo at Cowdray Park (15 miles). Cosy up in front of the warming wood burner after an eventful day exploring the local area and relax on the comfortable sofa with a good film on the Smart TV. Whip up a romantic meal in the well-equipped kitchen before retreating to the sumptuous bedroom that boasts a generous king-size bed with a high quality ‘Herdysleep’ mattress to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep, and the added luxury of an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower. A daybed in the open-plan living area can be converted into a double bed suitable for 1 person (on request). Please note that the shower room is only accessible via the bedroom.
