About this property

This delightful, mid-terrace cottage is ideally situated between the beach and the bustling centre of the beautiful town of Selsey, so in just a few minutes' you can either be browsing the shops or paddling in the sea. Built in 1750, this lovely seaside holiday home retains some of the quirky features you would expect from a cottage of this period, including a low wall, known as a tide wall, which guests will need to step over to gain access to the cottage door. With spacious, comfortable accommodation, carefully chosen furnishings, comfy beds and plenty of storage space, this property is perfect for a family holiday to remember. A well-equipped kitchen provides a great place for preparing picnics, ready for a fun day on the beach, whilst the lawned garden is a superb space for alfresco dining, or days relaxing with a good book with the warmth of the sun on your face. The large sitting room offers a woodburner, perfect for those chillier days, as well as a dining table where everyone can gather to eat delicious meals, made with fresh local produce. Perhaps you'll even play a board game with the children, whilst reminiscing about the day's adventures. You don't have to go far to enjoy days on the beach, visit historic towns, cycle, walk or birdwatch, not to mention play golf, sail and sample the local pubs and restaurants, including the Lifeboat Inn, which is only a three minute walk away and has its own fishing boat that supplies the restaurant. So no matter what makes your perfect break away, this welcoming coastal cottage has something for everyone.

Once an island (Selsey means 'Seal Island'), the town stands at the tip of the Manhood Peninsula and Selsey Bill is the southernmost tip of West Sussex. The beach at Selsey is one of the best in Sussex and makes for a perfect family day out. Whether sailing, swimming, beachcombing or just paddling in the sea, this lovely coastline can be enjoyed all year round.
