Stay at this wonderfully individual holiday cottage close to Chichester, space aplenty to chill and relax!

An architect designed cottage constructed with thought and imagination, this is a great place for four or five guests to really relax with excellent space around them in a wonderfully bright environment.

This desirable cottage has double opening doors from its vaulted living room onto a terrace and outdoor heated swimming pool, available between the months of May and September. Facing west it is a perfect sun trap and a leisurely and restful location. Guests also enjoy shared use of a tennis court with North Mundham House Studio. The studio is just across from the cottage and can combine nicely to offer accommodation for up to eight in total. Renting the two together can be perfect for a gathering of friends or a couple of families.

North Mundham House Cottage has two bedrooms set at opposite ends of the accommodation. Both can be configured as either a double with king sized beds or twin bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom has an ensuite shower room while the second bedroom up a half flight of stairs has use of a shower room on the ground floor. The second bedroom also has a third bed that can be made available for family use.

The kitchen is comprehensively equipped and combines with an open dining room to make a great social space. Separated by a couple of steps that lead up to the vaulted living room these two rooms make for a really spacious living area. Outside the cottage does share the pool with the studio and enjoys some beautiful and peaceful grounds within the owners’ home.

North Mundham and beyond

The North Mundham House Cottage is perfect for both Chichester and Goodwood events being just two miles outside the city centre. Located to the south east it is three miles north of Pagham Harbour and also close by to Chichester Harbour.

This part of the coastline is a haven for unusual birds and wildlife with Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve and Chichester Harbour both being areas of outstanding natural beauty. If you are feeling energetic the walk south to Pagham offers wonderful countryside views and much tranquility.

Pagham Harbour is an internationally important site for nature conservation while Chichester Harbour also combines its wildlife attractions with sailing centres such as Itchenor, Bosham, Dell Quay and Emsworth. Between these harbours there are beaches at Selsey and the Witterings, the latter offering unrivalled views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.

Chichester the cathedral city of Sussex. It has played a key role in the affairs of Sussex since at least Roman times. The city has broad streets that are packed with listed buildings headed by the towering presence of the cathedral.

The city centre is neatly enclosed within the ancient city walls, which helps to make Chichester compact and pleasant to explore on foot. It is a cosmopolitan, vibrant and friendly city proudly combining two thousand years of heritage with a lively lifestyle. A trip to the Chichester Festival Theatre close by to the centre is worth considering since it is famous for the quality of theatre production many of which premiere here before moving on to the London theatre scene. For the film buff the cinema complex and nearby restaurants to the south of the city also make for an enjoyable evening out.

Across Sussex there is always much to see and do, a lot is so easily accessible from here so staying at North Mundham House Cottage gives the best of both; beaches close by and an easy springboard back inland to explore the South Downs or for visiting the very popular Goodwood events.
