The surrounding area is a paradise for keen walkers, with routes to explore along the Chichester Canal or through the wetlands of Chichester or Pagham Harbour. For a day at the seaside, head to the coastal town of Selsey (5 miles). Other nearby days out include Goodwood Estate, Weald and Downland Living Museum, or one of the vineyards dotted throughout the Sussex countryside (all within 20 miles).
