This modern and spacious coastal home is perfectly located to enjoy the best of the nearby Blue Flag beach and the Sussex countryside with excellent accommodation for families or small groups.

Marine House has been beautifully updated to provided spacious accommodation and is furnished to a high standard throughout. You enter into the double height entrance foyer with a real fire at the centre and seating around. The stairwell leads from here to the first floor where you find the lounge with vaulted ceilings and a large south facing picture window which has glimpses of the sea. There is comfortable sofa seating and Freeview television with Wifi throughout. There is a single bedroom in the eaves on this floor.

On the ground floor the games room, with a full size pool table, leads to the dining with a woodburner at one end and full width bi-fold doors to the rear garden. The kitchen is accessed from here and is fully fitted with a 5 burner gas hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and Delonghi coffee machine. There is also a utility area with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

There are four bedrooms on the ground floor. Two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite wet room, and two king size bedrooms, one of which can be configured as a twin. There is a family bathroom with a bath and hand held shower overhead and also a useful separate cloakroom.

To the rear of Marine House is an enclosed garden with an outside table and chairs and loungers available during the summer months; a perfect spot to enjoy a BBQ or breakfast before heading off to the beach for the day.

East Wittering and beyond

Marine House is situated just 200 metres from East Wittering beach which is typical of many beaches along England's south coast with its shelving shingle and wooden groynes. As the tide goes out expansive sand flats are revealed - the kind of sand that is perfect for building sand castles! Further along the coast and you come to the famous beach at West Wittering which is a beautiful stretch of sand offering stunning views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight, and merging seamlessly with the East Head Nature Reserve a totally unspoilt headland at the entrance to Chichester Harbour. It is a wonderful piece of coastline to explore and enjoy.

Pagham Harbour, which is six miles from Marine House, is a glorious and peaceful nature reserve, one of the few undeveloped stretches of the Sussex coast, and an internationally important wetland site for wildlife. It is a big, sheltered inlet that fills and empties with each tide, with wild ducks, geese and wading birds flighting to and fro. With a wealth of wildlife, beautiful landscapes, and a rich historical heritage, it is a great place to get away from it all. In spring and autumn, all sorts of migrant birds pass through. In the summer, lapwings and little terns breed, and butterflies flit along the hedgerows, dragonflies patrol the ponds, and lizards bask in the sun.

Chichester, ten miles north of East Wittering, is the cathedral city for Sussex. It is one of the great well-preserved Georgian cities in the UK. The city centre is neatly enclosed within the ancient city walls, and this helps to make Chichester compact and pleasant to explore on foot. There are plenty of good shops and restaurants, and if you enjoy the theatre, the Chichester Festival Theatre is worth booking due not only to the quality of productions, but the fact many world premieres are featured here as well. For the film buff the cinema complex to the south of the city also make for an enjoyable evening out.

Chichester Harbour is also well worth a visit, as an area of outstanding natural beauty it has a plethora of wildlife which shares this delightful area with the sailing activity that abounds. The harbour is made up of a series of tidal creeks and Bosham is probably the best known of the quayside villages and offers much of interest. Bosham is always bustling and is a joy to visit.

The Goodwood Estate, which is half an hours drive from Marine House, is where you can enjoy the premier motorsport events as well as Glorious Goodwood racing festival. Or, of course, you can explore the wonders Goodwood House which combines the glamour of a great English country house with the warmth of a family home. Home to the Earl and Countess of March this elegant Sussex house provides a dramatic setting for one of the most significant private art collections in the country.
