Guests praise the spacious, well-equipped accommodation, friendly and attentive hosts, and excellent access to countryside walks and local attractions. While most found the cottage clean and cosy, a few noted that a deeper clean and some minor updates could enhance the experience. Overall, visitors enjoyed their stays and would happily return.
Most guests found the property clean and tidy, though several mentioned cobwebs, dog hair, and the need for a deeper clean in some areas. A few noted old food left in cupboards and minor maintenance issues, but these did not significantly detract from their overall enjoyment.

The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen essentials and storage, and the secure field for dogs is a highlight. Minor suggestions included more cutlery, a washing line, and a crockery rack. Hosts responded quickly to requests for missing items.

This was our second stay at The Ploughshed. It is in a lovely position with easy access to lots of attractions and walks but also very quiet. The only amenities nearby is the village shop/ cafe which is lovely and does great coffee and cakes. The property is the perfect size for a couple and a dog.Our dog loved the fields at the back of the property and is sulking now we have come home.We spent time walking up at Harting Down with its spectacular views which is 10 mins away. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook and it’s easy to get a supermarket delivery.Just one minor irritation…It would be great to have the back door handle fixed as you can get out but not back in.All in all I recommend the property and I’m sure we will be back.

Nice place to stay in a great setting, only a small tea room/ shop nearby but more places to eat a short trip away. Wasn’t the cleanest place we have stayed but not terrible just could have been better with little effort. Bed and pillows not very comfortable. I would stay here again if I brought my own pillows. Overall it’s nice and peaceful and ok for a short holiday.
