Rustington is a thriving coastal village set between Worthing and Bognor Regis, with a good range of shops, both small independent retailers and national names, as well as a number of cafes, pubs and restaurants. This coastal village incorporates an assortment of restaurants offering delicious meals to quaint afternoon tea, so you can tuck into an indulgent lunch after a morning wandering around the shops. A walk or short drive along the front will take you to Littlehampton, which has a number of attractions, including a leisure centre with swimming pool, crazy golf, pitch and putt, miniature railway, tennis courts and an amusement park. There are two beaches in Littlehampton set either side of the River Arun. The Blue Flag, coastguard patrolled sandy east beach is perfect for young and old with indoor and outdoor attractions. The west beach is protected and offers sand dunes and wonderful wildlife. The marina and harbour offer riverside walks, boat trips and a visitor centre. Historic houses and castles are also within easy travelling distance. Arundel Castle and Gardens, where the Dukes of Norfolk have been in residence for over 850 years, are just six miles from Rustington. Arundel is also home to a cathedral, independent shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, river walks and the Wetland Centre home to vividly coloured kingfishers - a must for all keen bird watchers. The annual Arundel Festival each summer has a great variety of activities, concerts and events. The cathedral city of Chichester is 17 miles from Rustington and its centre offers a mix of high street shopping and designer boutiques. Chichester Festival Theatre has an international reputation.Other nearby attractions include the South Downs National Park which offers beautiful walks of varying lengths, wonderful villages and historic pubs; the racecourses at Fontwell and Goodwood and Brighton (half an hour by train) which has something for everyone.
