Location for holiday was ideal for us and our dog. Good walks, places to visit good. Particularly liked The Royal Victoria Country Park, steeped in history and very friendly Staff & Volunteers. The property, Irenic Lodge 2 had a good layout but was very tired, not clean. The cooker and related equipment needed a good scrubbing and obviously not cleaned for a very long time. The owner was very friendly and immediately replaced the broken toilet seat when I pointed out it was unsafe and dangerous. We both felt that the owner had lost a degree of interest in the property and only did the minimum of work, which was a great shame.

Owner on site and very helpful. Excellent location for walker - 500yds from the start of The Hamble Rail Trail leading to Queen Victoria Country Park and miles of country walks. Comfortable lounge and beds. Kitchen well equiped . Beds comfortable. We have stayed here before ( visiting family) and plan to come again .
