The beds are very comfortable and a generous size. The showers are excellent. Beautifully positioned off the owners very well maintained garden, behind a barn development, so no road noise. A short walk to the very good local pub in the village.
Oliver
Walking distance (super LED torch provided for safety on road) to the Chequers Bistro pub where we had a top class evening meal, and only a few minutes drive to Kingham general store etc., with easy routes to Stow and surrounding places of interest. No traffic noises so good nights' sleep. We hope to return.

My reason for making this point is we have a lot of other cottages to compare with. The cottage itself is very spacious, comfortable and inviting. This cottage is the best equipped that we have been to. Silly things like, rolls of grease proof paper, foil and cling film, oils for cooking, and condiments. There is a dishwasher, as there has been in all of the cottages, but this is the only one where we haven't had to buy rinse aid and salt because the warning lights for both were on. The owner, Tom, couldn't have been more attentive and openly asks if you have any problems or recommendations for improvement. My thoughts on the area and things to do are all quite subjective, so I won't bother. As an example most people talk about lovely walks. My wife is in a wheelchair so this is not a huge pluss for us. Comfort and feeling like being in a home from home is, and to that degree I can't recommend Stow Cottage Barn enough. We shall definitely be going back, as often as we can.
