In general this cottage is very nice and the photos on the web do it justice. Negatives: 1st bedroom Hard mattress. 2nd bedroom Softer mattress but Very worn and sags in the middle. Bath is very high and has difficult access for those who aren't tall or flexible. Not suitable for elderly. Sofa in the lounge is very worn and smells pretty bad. Low ceilings downstairs and door frames for average height people (we all bumped our heads a few times). Garden yard not looked after needs some TLC Positives: Nice location 15 minute walk (down hill) along a busy road to Burford Quaint cottage with lots of character Had lots of facilities in kitchen Had milk in the fridge upon arrival Supermarket in Burford Very quiet location Lots of nice places to eat in the area Had a nice stay but cottage needs some money spent on sofa and beds to justify the price.

Inside was fine.Parking was a bit awkward further up the road, due to building work vans, working next door during the day but ok if you were out for the day, as workmen would then be gone. Not far to walk into Burford and the pub was very near and friendly.

Great location & garden area. Flooring throughout really badly stained, particularly in the lounge. Similarly, both sofas stained. Downstairs was rather shabby but upstairs looked as though it had been refurbished. The overall impression was it needs some TLC. The washing machine didn't spin which was rather disappointing. We loved Burford & the Carpenters was fabulous & only a short walk away.
