Nestled amongst farmland and woodland, Hensill Farmhouse is a wonderfully isolated, 19th century cottage incorporating elements from a neighbouring Tudor house. Situated on the outskirts of Hawkhurst, a great pub is only a mile away on foot.
Nestled amongst farmland and woodland, Hensill Farmhouse is a wonderfully isolated, 19th century cottage incorporating elements from a neighbouring Tudor house. The cottage has been beautifully refurbished to include 21st century comforts such as underfloor heating, a well-equipped kitchen and a Smart television.
A lovely escape throughout the seasons, the sitting room has a cosy wood burning stove for winters’ evenings, and french doors open out from the kitchen to the patio area, where you can sit in the dappled shade of the mature fig tree, which bears delicious fruit in late summer. The wraparound gardens boast views of the surrounding farmland and woodland. The two bedrooms provide flexible accommodation with one featuring a zip and link bed which can be configured as super-king size or twin singles. Bedroom one benefits from an en-suite shower room, while bedroom two has use of the family bathroom.
Although tucked away down a quiet track, Hensill Farmhouse is within walking distance of a good pub and only a five-minute drive from Hawkhurst’s well-appointed High Street with a butcher, baker, pharmacy, independent cinema as well as supermarkets. The Weald is a stunning area of England, blessed with natural beauty and steeped in centuries of fascinating history.

There is an uncovered pond in the garden approx. 1m deep; 8m wide, 30m long. Please ensure children are supervised at all times.
Access is via a well-maintained track, which is possibly unsuitable for cars that are very low to the ground. The track is shared with Hensill House, where the owners live.
The farmer may be working in the surrounding fields from time to time.
Underfloor heating across the entire ground floor.
Please note there are feather pillows and feather duvets at this property.
