Chartwell (14 miles), once the home of Winston Churchill, and Hever Castle (15 miles), childhood home of Anne Boleyn, both offer fascinating insights into the past. For scientific history, visit Darwin House (21 miles), where Charles Darwin developed his theory of evolution, or travel to Sevenoaks (8 miles) for independent shops and cafes.
