Continue through to the homely sitting room, where you can unwind upon the plush sofas with the Smart TV in sight; toast to your romantic getaway before climbing into the king-size bed for some rest. Awaken to a refreshing shower before planning your itinerary for touring Kent, starting off locally by strolling across Margate Main Sands, or exploring the Margate Caves, before brushing up on your local knowledge at the Margate Museum, or enjoying a thrill-seeking afternoon at the Dreamland Margate theme park; the Princes Walk is also nearby, a popular hiking route to truly appreciate your coastal setting. Continue to Ramsgate for another day at the beach, with the Broadstairs Undercliff Walking Trail to follow, enveloped by beautiful turquoise waters. For some countryside terrain, be sure to pack your walking boots to explore the Kent Downs AONB, or if you're hoping for some city life, Canterbury is brimming with art, culture and heritage, where you can discover Canterbury Cathedral, visit The Marlowe for a show, or explore the remains of St Augustine's Abbey, before dining out at one of the many popular eateries along the Great Stour river. Whisk your loved one away to Sherwood Apartment.

Margate, a seaside holiday destination on Kent's east coast, has undergone extensive renovations and now houses the Turner Contemporary gallery. Everyone can find something to do in this ancient seaside town, which features a Theatre Royal that dates back to 1787. There are golf courses, fishing piers, and amusement parks, whilst The Winter Gardens hosts a wide range of activities all year long, including performances by renowned artists in musicals, shows, and concerts. You can explore the artist studios along Margate Harbour Arm and Old Town, unwind in one of the many pubs or eateries, or rent a bike. For the most daring, there is a four-mile Turner and Dickens trek that will take you to Broadstairs.

A great base to explore Thanet and beyond (it's even close to a stop on the Thanet bus loop), and it's only a two-minute walk to the cliff top. The only slight drawback is that most of the more up-market restaurants in Margate are three-quarters of a mile away, down a fairly steep hill, so may not suit someone with limited mobility. And one little gem in the less salubrious Cliftonville end of Margate: Spice Delight, a kind of Mongolian/Chinese/South Asian crossover, recently started up, is not to be missed. Walk to the top of neighbouring Dalby Square, turn left into Northdown Road, and it's there on the right.
