About this Holiday Cottage

Perfect for groups and larger family gatherings, Great Higham Barn and Oast offers luxurious accommodation with exposed beams, contemporary decor, spacious living accommodation and beautiful farmland views. Enjoy access to the Torry Hill Estate with leisure facilities and path/ bridleways and guests can also hire mountain bikes or arrange clay pigeon shooting onsite.

Inside

The Barn

The property is entered into through the double height barn door into a double height glass walled atrium. The main dining and sitting areas seat 14 in  each and there is an additional snug/ play area with Playstation. The kitchen is split into three areas and includes the main cooking area with double range oven, extractor fan, two dishwashers, sink and large fridge. A second dining area overlooks the garden and seats twelve.

The Oast

The sitting room has a TV with Sky service, DVD player and there is a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine electric oven, hob and extractor fan. The adjoining dining table can seat ten people.

Modern entertainment facilities include DAB radios, CD players and USB links for most mp3 players.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

The Barn

To the ground floor, there is a master double bedroom with king size bed and an ensuite bathroom with bath and integral shower. The accommodation also includes a further double bedroom with ensuite shower room, three double/ twin rooms, a family bathroom with shower plus an additional WC. 

The first floor has a snug/ play area with two double beds & four futon beds plus a family bedroom with four single beds and bunk beds. This room also has an ensuite bathroom with walk in shower and bath. The independent room is accessed via a spiral staircase or its own front door. There is a king size double bed/ set of twin beds plus an ensuite bathroom with shower.

The Oast

The ground floor has a family bedroom sleeping four which also has a wood burner stove. There is also a WC on this level. The first floor has a master bedroom with ensuite shower room, two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom with bath and hand held shower.

Outside

The property has a south facing terrace with a barbecue and seating for ten people. There is also further outdoor space plus plenty of car parking.

Other Things to Note

Leisure facilities include a tennis court and swimming pool. Our electricity comes from a renewable source and we provide logs for the wood burner free of charge. The property is set on a carbon neutral development and the heating is supplied by the estates coppiced woodland at no extra charge.

Availability

Well behaved dogs and cats are welcome at an extra charge of £20 each per week. Short breaks are welcome.
