About this property

Enjoy the romance of staying in one of a pair of shepherd's hut in a meadow on the Romney Marsh, an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty"

Rumwold offers you the chance to soak up the romantic atmosphere of Romney Marsh, an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty", in your very own Shepherd's hut in a sheep meadow. Beautifully designed with a wood burning stove, Rumwold truly is a lovely, bright and cosy base for your holiday in Kent.  The outside seating area, complete with two wooden chairs and a fire pit, has a sheep proof fence so that you can really be amongst it and perhaps enjoy a bit of star gazing by the fire.  With local bike hire available why not cycle to the beach at Dymchurch or up to historic Lympne Castle which was built in the 1080's for the Archdeacons of Canterbury. With some great local pubs and plenty of history this is a perfect place for your holiday.  Rumwold is one of a pair of Huts, The Lookerer the sister hut can be found here https://www.kentandsussexcottages.co.uk/rural-kent/aldington-cottages/as277-the-lookerer

We had a lovely stay in the Rumwold Shepherds Hut. All of the little touches made such a difference; wine, bread, butter, jam and wood for the fire. The surroundings were so peaceful, lovely walks and fresh air. Will definitely recommend. Thank you!

Very welcoming owner. The accommodation is quirky and very cosy. It is well equipped with a helpful welcome pack containing essentials. The opportunity to bottle feed the lambs was an added bonus that was much appreciated. This is luxury accommodation on a working farm. My wife being a member of the spinning and knitting community it was good for her to buy local wool for her next project.
