Herne 1 mile. This beautiful holiday home is part of a residential complex that sits just outside the village of Herne in Kent. This cottage has stylish, contemporary accommodation ideal for small families or couples looking to stay in a quiet location where walks and woodland are just outside your door. The ground floor comprises a spacious sitting room and well-equipped kitchen with dining area, a perfect place to sit enjoying time together whilst sharing a bottle of locally brewed ale, which can be bought from the micropub just a short walk away. Upstairs there are two attractive bedrooms, the master with a double bed. A second bedroom with a single bed and family bathroom make up the first floor. Views from the windows, which run along the upper hallway look down over the communal gardens. The rear courtyard garden is enclosed by a white picket fence and has an archway with a grape vine growing over it, enhancing the beauty of this charming cottage. This is a lovely spot to sit and read on a sunny morning whilst watching your children and dog play, as you plan your activities for the day ahead. Within a few minutes of leaving this holiday cottage you can find yourself walking through Blean Woods where dogs are welcomed and waymarked trails are signposted. With over four hectares of woods and meadows to explore, this beautiful part of the Kent countryside is now a nature reserve with a conservation order protecting trees, flora and fauna. In the springtime the woodland is carpeted with a beautiful display of bluebells and wood anemone. If you feel like a day of historic adventures, shopping and eating, followed by an evening at the theater then head to Canterbury which is certain to have you enthralled whatever the time of year. A day on the beach, complete with a paddle in the sea and an ice cream sundae will surely appeal to your little ones, so be sure to visit Herne Bay which is just a hop, skip and jump away. Herne is a small village within walking distance of the traditional Kent coastal resort of Herne Bay, which offers 2 miles of splendid seafront frequented by water sports enthusiast including rowers, yachtsmen and jet ski riders, and by those who simply enjoy walking along the beach with its colourful beach huts.
