Snaptrip says

Swallow Cottage is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. The location is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions and quiet setting, though some guests noted it's a bit far from amenities. The cottage's historical charm and modern amenities provide a good base for exploring Kent, with a friendly service from the owner. While some maintenance issues were mentioned, overall, guests enjoyed their stay and would recommend the property.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found Swallow Cottage to be spotlessly clean and well-presented, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A few isolated comments about cleanliness issues prevent a perfect score.

The cottage is appreciated for its quiet setting and good location for exploring Kent, with easy access to the coast and countryside. Some guests felt the distance from amenities and the beach was greater than expected, slightly impacting the score.

Guests generally found the beds very comfortable and the cottage cosy. However, there were several remarks about the sofa being uncomfortable and the property being small for the number of guests it accommodates, which affects the score.

Reviews highlight a well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of a large TV with Netflix. However, maintenance issues such as a broken basin plug, a lifted laminate floor, and a non-functional DVD player were noted, indicating room for improvement.

While some guests appreciated the welcome pack with biscuits, tea, and coffee, there are insufficient references to gifts or additional thoughtful touches to accurately score this category. It's important to note that such amenities are subject to change and not guaranteed.

It looks good from the first look, but you start to see this place needs some TLC. Coat hanger was falling off wall, dodgy looking finish to a socket in the kitchen, dishwasher clearly needs some maintenance as it was dirty from last customers with vegetables floating around in what smelt like stagnant water! Was NOT impressed that this was overlooked. Couple of plates in cupboard were dirty, TV remote does not work downstairs - was disappointed this hadn't been replaced since last review. Ended up using the remote from upstairs to turn TV off! Wish we'd spotted this earlier. Wood flooring in lounge hasn't been fitted properly and in areas it's not lying flat, this could be painful if someone were to catch their foot on it. Sofa is fine but definitely not for 4 adults. Fan in bathroom is turned off, we found out why - the fan doesn't go off! Bath is way too deep for a shower - avoid if you have some sort of mobility issues. Shower has no power to it, so if you have long/thick hair be prepared to be in there for ages washing out the shampoo! We'd have preferred some sort of welcome pack - not everyone has mobile phones and sometimes it's just a more personal touch. Positives: good location for Canterbury and the coast, thank you for the biscuits, tea, coffee and milk on arrival - much appreciated. Loved the fact we had our own TVs in both bedrooms - this was a nice touch, and to have two double beds.

Downstairs, the front room is difficult to comfortably sit 4 people as sofa is very small and showing signs of aging (sunken seats), tv remote didn’t work and multiple buttons were broken, we brought our own firestick to watch as the Netflix wouldn’t load on tv. Kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need. House is quite dark due to location and ventilation is an issue, it got very very hot and the heating had a mind of its own of when it would come on, had to message owners as micro power cuts shut off the boiler and we couldn’t find the reset for the thermostat but they were very quick with a response. Would work for a couple but wouldn’t recommend for family as the living space is just too small. A welcome book with a little how to for the boiler, washing machine and dishwasher would be helpful. Lovely location, very quiet, great walks around the countryside.

We had a small problem and they were on it from the moment I contacted them and came to the cottage to ensure everything was ok. A++++++
