Fantastic place to stay, steeped in history. Resident host very friendly and keen to share stories and history of Eastbridge Hospital. Apartment was spotlesly clean and had almost everything you could need. No TV but excellent WiFi for streaming. Would definitely return and recommend highly to others

An amazing place to stay. Somewhere that has offered shelter to pilgrims since 1180, and you can see the undercroft where they stayed for one night and one meal. We stayed for three nights. Julie, the concierge, was really friendly and accommodating. Our flat was actually on a bridge over the river so you can sit on your bed and watch the river. The products were top notch in the bathroom and kitchen. The door for the property is right on the main pedestrianised road through Canterbury. Over the road from coffee bars, restaurants, and a Sainsburys. 7 minutes walk to the cathedral. Parking is very secure and 5 minutes walk from the apartment. I really recommend this place to stay.

We have just enjoyed a wonderful stay in the Friar’s apartment at the Eastbridge Hospital. We were met on arrival by Julie who showed us to our apartment and was very helpful with pointing us in the right direction! A very beautiful apartment in a fantastic location right in the centre of Canterbury but yet remarkably quiet. The rowing boats actually pass under the hospital on the Stour! A secure car parking space is included and resulted in us not using the car for the duration of our stay. We caught the train to Margate and walked up to the cricket ground and explored Canterbury on foot. Lots of local independent shops and good eating places.
