We had a lovely stay at The Granary. A clean, spacious and recently renovated cottage close to a number of locations for great days out. The staircase is stunning, the beds are comfy and the overhead rain shower is amazing. The welcome treats of milk, tea and coffee, and wine were perfect after a long journey. Hand soap in all the bathrooms and basic cleaning supplies in the kitchen were helpful too. Eeyore in the small bedroom was a lovely touch and in keeping with the area's inspiration for the Winnie the Pooh books. Ashford Forest where A. A. Milne and Christopher Robin lived is just an hour's drive away and definitely worth a visit. A local nature walk is also right on the door step. Supermarkets are just a short drive away and there is a garage and Greggs a 2 minute walk from the house if anything is needed urgently. Be aware that the drive is tight to get onto if you have a larger car, but the lane is quiet and there is plenty of time to have a couple of attempts.
